First, parallel processing, the core and cavity of the mold are combined into one part and processed in parallel on a multi-task machine tool. Using a flexible inclined milling spindle (b-axis) and a reverse turning spindle (c-axis), the cooling holes on the four sides and the back of the rectangular workpiece are milled. The core and cavity parts are processed while the workpiece is still merged into one body. Through the coordination of the rotation of the turning spindle and the tilt of the milling spindle, optimizing the orientation of the tool can improve the surface roughness and increase the tool life. The workpiece can also be reversed periodically to facilitate dumping of chips.
Then the core and cavity are separated, and each part is still firmly clamped on the reverse turning spindle. Two new sides of the two parts are exposed by plane milling, and the cooling holes on the two parts of the mold are all drilled out in one clamping. Compared with traditional processing, this method greatly reduces the number of clamping times and procedures. Since the two parts of the mold maintain excellent orientation with each other until they are separated, the accuracy is also improved.
The second point is five-axis gun drilling. The ability to drill water pipe lines with compound angles makes it possible to improve the cooling performance of large molds. The five-axis gun drilling machine tool can achieve good economic efficiency by eliminating multiple complicated clampings. Those molds used for car bumpers, car dashboards and other plastic parts rely on fast and effective cooling to obtain a competitive production cycle. These solutions are not very attractive, and they can not even meet the needs of customers who want to reduce the price of molds.
Mold manufacturing and processing technology: The machine tool features a programmable rotary table and a CNC spindle head with a lower limit of 25 degrees and an upper limit of 15 degrees more than the normal rotation range. The machine can be equipped with traditional gun drills, sts (single tube system) type drills, or both. The latter type of drill with a diameter of 1 inch can achieve a speed of up to 9 inches per minute when drilling deep holes. , The process control system of the machine tool can graphically display oil pressure, flow, feed resistance and torque in real time. This means that the optimal drilling speed can be monitored during drilling and the risk of tool damage can be reduced. The design of the machine is rigid and can be used for high-speed milling, drilling and tapping. It needs to be equipped with an optional tool changer.
