China has opened more than 1.39 million 5G base stations to carry out 5G construction in a steady and orderly manner
Han Xia, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, introduced on the 23rd that as of November 2021, China has built and opened 5G base stations. “target=”_blank”> More than 1.39 million 5G base stations, virtual private networks and hybrid private networks 2,300, and accelerate the formation of a 5G network system that meets the needs of the industry.
Han Xia introduced at the 2022 China Academy of Information and Communications Technology’s ICT+ in-depth observation report meeting that China’s gigabit optical network construction will accelerate in 2021, and it has the capacity to cover 240 million households. IPv6 networks and terminals are gradually advancing. Industrial Internet The logo analysis system is operating stably, with 166 secondary nodes established, serving 48,000 companies, and the number of logo registrations surpassing 70 billion.
According to reports, 5G applications have covered many fields in the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. The potential of 5G to empower the digital transformation of the economy and society is continuously released, and nearly 50% of 5G applications have achieved commercial landing. The innovative application of the Industrial Internet has deepened and expanded, and has been widely applied to more than 40 key industries in the national economy, including steel, machinery, transportation, and energy. Among them, more than 1,800 “5G + Industrial Internet” projects are under construction.
Han Xia stated that in 2022, we will systematically deploy new infrastructure construction, promote the construction of 5G and gigabit optical networks in a steady and orderly manner, and deepen co-construction and sharing; optimize the construction layout of new national data centers to achieve optimal matching of computing resources and network resources; The intelligent transformation and green upgrade of network facilities accelerate information and communication empowerment of energy conservation and emission reduction in various fields of the economy and society, and help achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
The previous National Industry and Informationization Work Conference made it clear that by the end of 2022, the gigabit optical network will have the capacity to cover more than 400 million households. Increase the innovation and promotion of IPv6 applications, and accelerate the integrated application of 5G in vertical industries.
